During the summer months R. rotundafolia is a lovely "edging" plant for the garden pond where it's light green foliage gently tumbles about the sides and flowers abundantly in lavender/pink at the surface. Move it inside and it transforms into fast growing pink (brilliant pink when red fertilizer is used), fine leafed contrast plant which makes an excellent choice during an initial cycle when nutrient is abundant.
