Tridacna clams require a very stable and clean tank with dosing as they absorb allot of minerals in the water especially alkalinity and calcium. T.crocea is the smallest reaching a peak of 15cm and prefers rock too bore into. Other species such as T.squamosa and T.maxima will reach sizes over 40cm.
