Want to order from Aquarium Gallery?
We ship Australia-wide. Our rates are as follows:
- $28.95 for standard shipping, $44.95 for livestock and additional shipping may be charged on items labelled as “bulky”

Orders $250 and over are shipped free freight, shipping time is 2-5 working days as long as stock is available, “bulky” items are not always covered. For livestock one box is covered for every $250 of sales. Additional boxes will be charged.

4. We ship with a range of companies including Australia Post, Startrack express. Delivery times range between 1-5 working days. Heavy/bulky goods items may take longer.

Please note some bulky items require additional shipping charges regardless of total order value, please call or email for details. (this typically includes bulk hard scapes, substrates, massive items such as extra large canister filters and aquariums above 10 kg).
Livestock Shipping Policy
At Aquarium Gallery, we pride ourselves on supplying healthy, tank-conditioned livestock including corals, fish and invertebrates. Every order is packed with care using professional packing methods designed to maximise survival and minimise stress during transit.
Because we are shipping live animals, all dispatch decisions are made with the welfare of the livestock as the highest priority.
Shipping Days & Dispatch
Livestock orders are shipped Monday to Wednesday only.
This helps avoid parcels being held in transit over weekends and reduces the risk of shipping delays.
Orders placed after our weekly shipping cutoff may be scheduled for dispatch the following week. Tracking details will be provided once your order has been shipped.
Shipping Holds & Delays
Aquarium Gallery reserves the right to delay or reschedule shipment if conditions are not suitable for safe livestock transport, including but not limited to:
- Extreme heat or cold along the delivery route
- Severe weather events
- Courier network disruptions or delays
- Public holidays
- Coral health or recovery after fragging
- Livestock/fish health due to Quarantine procedures
- We cannot guarantee 24 hour delivery Outside metro centres and to rural areas. As such our Livestock guarantee will not be applicable to these areas
- If your location means that the delivery will take more than 24 hours, then we cannot take on the risk and upon your agreement it will be shipped at your own risk.
- Live Stock is shipped with an overnight service to most major centres in Australia, this is a door to door service.
- For some rural locations we offer an airport collection where available if prior arrangements are made please email or call for more info. This might incur an additional fee.
- For livestock shipments to Tasmania, delays in processing may occur due to Tasmanian biosecurity pre-approval regulations.
If your order is delayed for livestock safety reasons, we will contact you to arrange the next suitable shipping date.
Packing Standards
All livestock is packed using insulated packaging and appropriate heat or cold packs where required.
Livestock is securely bagged and packed to minimise stress, contamination and transit damage.
While we take every reasonable precaution, shipping live animals always carries an inherent level of risk, which is accepted when placing an order.
Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA Policy)
We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee for eligible livestock shipments delivered within 24 hours of dispatch.
The Live Arrival Guarantee does not apply where:
- Delivery exceeds 24 hours in transit
- The parcel is delayed due to missed delivery or customer unavailability
- The shipping address provided is incorrect
- The shipment is sent to a regional, rural or remote area outside guaranteed overnight coverage
In the unlikely event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival), the following conditions must be met:
- Clear photos of the livestock must be taken in the sealed bag before opening
- Photos must be emailed to us within 4 hours of recorded delivery time
- The shipping label must be visible in at least one photo
- Livestock should then be removed from the bag and acclimated appropriately
Claims submitted without photos of the livestock in the sealed bag will not be accepted.
Claims submitted outside the 4-hour notification window will not be accepted.
Approved DOA claims will be issued as store credit only. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Customer Responsibilities
By purchasing livestock from Aquarium Gallery, you agree to:
- Ensure someone is available to receive the parcel on the first delivery attempt
- Monitor tracking information and collect the parcel promptly
- Acclimate livestock appropriately upon arrival
Aquarium Gallery is not responsible for losses resulting from:
- Missed deliveries or unattended parcels
- Incorrect shipping information supplied at checkout
- Delays caused by the courier network
- Improper acclimation or tank conditions after arrival
- Stress or loss occurring after livestock has been removed from its shipping bag
Shipping Liability
While we work closely with our courier partners and will assist where possible with transit issues, Aquarium Gallery cannot guarantee courier delivery timeframes once a shipment has left our facility. Responsibility transfers to the courier when it leaves our facility.
Our liability is limited to the terms outlined in this Live Arrival Guarantee policy.
