Fact: This group was once classified under Lobophyllia, but despite its similar looks, it has since been reclassified to the Acanthastrea genus and is more related to Acan corals in DNA. 

Colours typically come in dominant orange, with shades of green, maroon, mauve and red. There are rare blue variants.
