Corydoras Hastatus is also known as the tail spot pygmy corydoras. They have an arrow shaped spot on the base of the tail. It is a smaller species only growing to approximately 3.5cm. Corydoras catfish are popular amongst aquarists due to their calm temperaments and unique appearance and personalities. They are great peaceful tank mates for many tropical species, are easy to breed, and helpful as a clean-up crew.
Features of Hastatus Corydoras:
Short faces, armored bodies with barbels or whiskers around their mouths
Longer more slender body than other corydoras species
Black arrow shaped spot on base of tail surrounded by white margins
Corydoras catfish are bottom-dwelling fish that spend a lot of time hiding in caves or digging in the substrate
