The Raccoon Tetra (Hyphessobrycon procyon) is a rare, peaceful freshwater fish native to Brazil's Rio Aripuanã. Growing up to 1.5 inches, they are prized for their rosy-gold bodies and distinctive, raccoon-like dark eye masks. They thrive in groups of six or more in planted aquariums with temperatures of 23–28°C and soft water.

- Tank mates: Excellent for community tanks with non-aggressive nano fish, dwarf cichlids, and other peaceful tetrasecause they are not mass-produced in commercial fish farms and are largely wild-caught or carefully tank-raised, they are relatively rare and usually more expensive than standard tetra varieties.
