Snail Whelk (Cantharus sp.) "Rare"

These snails eat left over debris/food and have been recorded to attack and consume the pest Vermitid Snails. These can be housed with caution as they are known to target other snails as well, mainly Turbo snails and Zombies, but don't seem to target Trochus and Strombus snails. Other snails haven't been documented. Besides that, they are reef safe and cryptic by nature, doing their work/hunting mainly at night. They are relatively new to the hobby and still misunderstood, often treated as hitchhikers or pests.
